Petronash as a group is involved in various CSR activities and in India Petronash Engineering Services as a corporate entity would like to contribute to the upliftment of the under privileged. Petronash Engineering Services has formulated a policy for the Corporate Social Responsibility as per the advice and approval of the board of directors.
The term "corporate social responsibility" (CSR) refers to the idea that businesses should integrate social and other beneficial concerns into their operations voluntarily for the benefit of their stakeholders and society at large. This idea aims to make businesses more socially responsible and environmentally conscious.
However, Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 ("Act") provides that certain companies must mandatorily contribute a certain amount towards CSR activities.
As per the Act, 'Corporate Social Responsibility' means and includes but is not limited to:
The provision of CSR applies to every company fulfiing any of the following conditions in the preceding financial year: Net worth of more than Rs.500 crore Turnover of more than Rs.1000 crore Net profit of more than Rs.5 crore
The policy's Objective is to outline Petronash approach to corporate social responsibility (CSR) in accordance with Section 135 of the Companies Act of 2013 and any applicable rules that may be amended over time.
The principles of this policy are to reach out to the marginalised and underprivileged population to address underlying challenges of this society, thereby creating opportunities to improve livelihood and helping people to create better society. Petronash will mainly focus on following areas which are aligned with Section VII of Companies Act 2013.
Notwithstanding the main focus areas, as mentioned above, the Company may also undertake CSR activities in other areas as contained in Schedule VII to the Companies Act, 2013 if so, recommended by the CSR Committee and approved by the Board of the Company.

the Board may alter the said plan at any time during the financial year, as per the recommendation of its CSR Committee, based on the reasonable justification to that effect.
Petronash will be preforming CSR activities mentioned in Schedule VII of Companies Act 2013 through a Trust or directly through its own team. If CSR team decides to undertake a long-term project (More than 3 Months) through Trust or by themselves. Committee should submit their Annual Plans with clearly prepared Quarterly milestones.
The CSR Committee and the Board shall monitor execution of various approved projects, programs and activities as listed in the annual action plan. Robust reporting mechanism will also aid in monitoring proper utilisation of funds and create impact on the ground in terms of building a more inclusive society.
Human capital and economic development go hand in hand and focus on the development of the country. Education plays an important role in the development of the country and is a fundamental right for everyone. India is the second most populous country in the world and has a literacy rate of approximately 74%. India's literacy rate continues to rise, but many states in the country have low literacy rates.
With the Right of Children to free and compulsory education Act, 2009 coming in, there has been a definite improvement in enrolment of children in schools at all level across the country. Most of the provisions guaranteed in this Act are yet to be fulfilled like lack of basic infrastructure facilitates, safe condition to study etc. These gaps lead to many children, especially students of the age group 8 yrs to 15 yrs to drop out of their schools as they grow up.
Purpose of CSR is to make a Organization socially responsible which paws the way of creating positive impact in the society. Recognizing these challenges, Petronash Engineering Services Private Limited has come up with the deal of helping a school location in Karuvantha village, Tirunelveli.
During the period 2023-24, to achieve Petronash’s CSR Motive towards Education and Development, a CSR Committee has been formed and signed MOU with Govardhan Trust. With the help of Mr. Natesan from Govardhan Trust we have identified that there is a need for CSR activity in “Vivekananda National Trust Middle School” located in Karuvatha Village, Tirunelveli district.
During 2000, Vivekananda National Trust School was started as a primary school. In 2016, this institution became a middle school.
At present, this school is built in an area of 6000 sq. ft and has 273 students with 10 teachers including Principle.
Students studying in this school are mostly from farming and daily coolie backgrounds. In this school they provide free lunch for more than 100 students every day.
This school had 10 classrooms and needed 6 additional classrooms with a chemistry and physics laboratory to start high secondary education. Also, the classrooms of primary class students required tables & benches.
We have approached this school through Govardhan Trust and understood the requirements as given below
